The 2023 Topps Update Series Baseball checklist again offers 330 base cards. Look for traded players, new rookies, rookie debuts, and combo cards in the lineup

Like in Series 2, there are Retail-exclusive Blue Foilboard (#/999), Purple Foilboard (#/799) parallels to go with the customary Royal Blue (1:10 packs)

Topps also confirmed the continuation of the Golden Mirror Image Variation cards, which offer short-printed photos for the entire 330-card set

As for the inserts, 2023 Topps Update Series Baseball provides another round of retro styles via 1988 Topps Baseball and Topps Black Gold.

In addition, collectors can finish out their All Aces set with the final batch of die-cut foilboard pitcher cards.

New inserts include 2023 All Star Game, with 50 names that took part in All-Star Week events, and Action Stars, a 30-card set showcasing players "known for their high action performances."

Other 2023 Topps Update Series Baseball debuts include Laid Out!, dedicated to those who give their all to make big plays, and Time-Spanning Tandems, which identifies past and present stars with a connection.

All inserts noted above come in several limited parallels. Only the 1988 Topps Baseball set has the one-of-one Wood variation.

Select inserts also have signed versions numbered to 25 copies or less.

Possible short prints include AKA, with more nicknames, and the wood-styled Heavy Lumbercards, limited to 500 copies per card.

The signature chase continues for 2023 Topps Update Series Baseball with familiar sets like 1988 Topps Baseball Autographs, Baseball Stars Autographs, Baseball Stars Autographs (#/5 or less), and Cut Signatures (1/1).

Naturally, 2023 Topps Update Series Baseball is also home to multiple memorabilia inserts. The selection includes several All-Star-based sets, such as All-Star Stitches, which contains event-worn All-Star Game workout jersey relics.
